whtally
Works with your existing TallyPrime

Your money is sitting in stock you never look at.

Tally already knows which batches expire next month, which items have not moved since March, and who has owed you since Diwali. It has never told you. whtally reads your own Tally and puts it in your pocket.

Free for one Tally No port opened on your network Nothing to change in Tally

Stock you can still do something about — send it back, discount it, or push it out — while there is still time to.

Not sold since March ₹2,88,000
Overdue from customers ₹6,10,000

The gap

Tally is where you bill. It was never where you look.

Every shop, distributor and pharmacy in India already types the data in. Purchase entries, batch numbers, expiry dates, party bills. It goes in and it stays in — because reading it means walking to the office PC, opening the right report, and knowing which report to open.

Nobody reads it at night

The one person who would act on a number is not the person sitting at the Tally machine.

Expiry is found too late

Most owners discover a batch when a customer refuses it — months after the supplier would have taken it back.

The business runs on WhatsApp

Orders, payments and reminders already happen on the phone. The numbers do not.

What you see

Four numbers, from your own Tally.

No re-entry, no parallel system, no new habit for your billing staff. Your team keeps working exactly as they do today.

Expiry, while it can still go back

Grouped by the supplier return window — 30, 60, 90 days — not by the date the batch dies. By the time stock expires the money is already gone.

Dead stock and negative stock

What has not moved in months, and what Tally says you have less than none of — the usual sign of a missed purchase entry.

Who owes you, and what you owe

Outstanding by party and by bill, with overdue days, so a collection call happens on a number instead of a memory.

Post from wherever you are

Sales, receipt, payment and contra vouchers composed on your phone. They land in your office Tally when your connector picks them up.

For pharmacy & FMCG

The return window, not the expiry date.

Distributors take stock back three to six months before it expires. That window is the only period in which the money is still recoverable — and it is the number nobody is watching.

  • Within 30 days₹62,000
  • 31 – 60 days₹94,000
  • 61 – 90 days₹38,000
  • Already expired₹41,000

Expired stock is shown apart, and quietly. It is not a target — it is a receipt for a loss already taken.

An honest caveat

Expiry dates exist in Tally only if Maintain in Batches and Set expiry dates are switched on, and someone enters them at purchase. Pharmacy distributors usually do. Billing-only shops often do not. So whtally shows you your coverage as a plain number — 412 items · 61 batch-tracked · 8 with expiry — instead of pretending. If it is low, that is worth knowing on day one, and dead stock, negative stock and outstanding still work regardless.

How it works

One small program, once, on the Tally PC.

No static IP, no port forwarding, no cloud migration of your books.

1

Register with your email

One email, one Tally. You get a connector key straight away, and again by email so a reformatted PC is never a lost account.

2

Install the connector

Run it on the machine that already has TallyPrime. Type a short pairing code from your phone — no long key to copy across.

3

Open your phone

Your stock, expiry, outstanding and sales are there. The connector keeps them current on its own.

Security

Your Tally stays on your PC. Nothing on the internet can reach it.

You are handing a stranger a view of your books, and you are right to want to know exactly what that means. Here is the whole of it, in plain words — and each one is something your own IT person can verify rather than take on trust.

The connector only ever calls out

It runs on the machine that already has TallyPrime, and it starts every conversation itself. No port is opened on your network, no static IP is needed, and there is nothing to change on your router. There is no address on the internet that reaches your Tally — because there isn't one.

It reads. It writes only what you tapped

Day to day the connector asks Tally for reports and does nothing else. The single exception is a voucher you composed and approved yourself in the app. Tally stays your book of record; whtally never becomes a second one.

Your company file never moves

What travels is the answers to the reports you asked for — item names, batch numbers, quantities, party names, amounts. Your company file itself stays where it is, the only complete copy of your books, on your machine, behind your own Tally password.

One key per Tally, and it cannot cross

Every connector carries its own key, tied to one business. Figures are fetched by that key and stored against that business alone, so there is no request in whtally that can return one shop's stock to another. The key is the boundary itself — not a filter someone could one day forget to apply.

The assistant cannot post. At all

The optional AI add-on can draft a voucher and hand it to you. It has no way to write to your Tally — not a rule it has been asked to follow and might be talked out of, but a capability that does not exist in it. Nothing moves until your thumb moves.

You can take it out, or take it away

Export everything we hold about you as a file, or erase the account outright — both from inside the app, both immediate. Under the DPDP Act your customers' details remain yours; we only process them for you. What we keep and for how long is published, not buried.

Optional add-on

Tell it what happened. It writes the entry.

“Received 4,500 cash from Anand Medicals.” The assistant drafts the voucher in Tally's own language and shows it to you.

Nothing posts until you tap

The assistant can draft, and only draft. You read the draft, you approve it, and only then does it move.

Your conversation is not kept

We record what was drafted, posted or refused and the amount — the audit trail you would want. The business conversation itself is yours, and we do not store it.

Questions we are actually asked

Before you install anything.

Does whtally change anything in my Tally?

It reads reports only, unless you deliberately post a voucher from the app. Your Tally stays your book of record, and nothing is copied out of your company file beyond the stock, outstanding and sales figures you asked to see.

Do I need a static IP or an open port?

No. The connector runs on the PC that already has TallyPrime and makes outbound calls only. No port is opened on your network.

Can another business see my data?

No. Every connector carries its own key, and that key is tied to one business. Figures are fetched by the key and stored against that business only, so there is no request in whtally that can return one customer's stock to another.

Will it show expiry dates for my stock?

Only if your Tally holds them — see the caveat above. whtally shows your coverage as a plain number rather than pretending, and dead stock, negative stock and outstanding work regardless.

What does whtally cost?

Free for a single Tally with one user, including all reports and voucher posting. The AI assistant is a paid add-on, as are multi-user and multi-branch setups.

Which Tally versions does it work with?

TallyPrime, with the connector running on the same Windows PC. Your licence, your data and your working habits stay exactly as they are — whtally is not a replacement for Tally and cannot be used without it.
